What Table Number Card Maker does, with a checked example

Every seated event needs a way to point guests at their table, and this tool turns a list of numbers into the cards that do that. You enter the table numbers, then choose a font, a color, and a decorative frame, and each number becomes its own card sized for printing, folding, and standing on a table. The step people most often miss is that one card is produced per number you enter: type 25 numbers and you get 25 individual cards, not one card listing all 25. Plan the list before you paste it, and count the cards in the preview before you print.

Ten cards, numbered 1 through 10, one number per card, each in the same font, color, and frame. The cards appear in the preview in the order you entered them, and the print-ready set contains exactly ten cards, one per table.

The tool makes one card per value in the list: ten numbers in, ten cards out, each showing exactly one of the numbers in the order given. A list of twelve numbers would produce twelve cards.

One card per number entered

The list you paste or type is split into individual values, and each value becomes its own card. Cards keep the order of the list, so the preview and the printed set run in the sequence you entered them. The card count shown in the preview is the count you will print: change the list and the number of cards changes with it.

Styling applies to the whole set

Font, color, and frame choices are set once and applied to every card at once, which is what keeps a full room of tables looking uniform. Because styling is set at the set level, changing the frame re-renders every card together, so you can try a different look without regenerating the numbers. Decide the look before entering a long list rather than restyling afterward.

Good uses

  • A wedding with assigned tables: enter the table numbers in one list and print a card for every reception table, folded so guests spot their number from the doorway.
  • A same-week dinner where handwritten cards will not do: pick a font and one frame, print, cut, fold, and the cards are done in minutes.
  • A multi-session conference dinner that repeats the same seating plan: reuse the same number list for each session and restyle the set once per session so each night looks distinct.

Limits and checks

  • The card count is driven by your list, not by a range. If you type 1 through 50, you get 50 cards; if you meant 15 tables, edit the list to 15 numbers before printing.
  • The cards show the values exactly as entered: '7' prints as 7 and '07' prints as 07, and a value entered twice produces two cards numbered the same. Decide on leading zeros and duplicates before you print.
  • The preview shows cards at screen size, not printed size. Confirm the paper size and orientation in the print dialog before printing a full set, and test one card on paper first: a number that reads clearly on screen can be too small to see across a room.

Common questions

Can I give one table a different frame or color from the rest?

No, not in one set. Styling choices apply to every card at once, so a single table with a different look means generating a second set with that style and combining the printed output yourself. In practice the uniformity is usually the point: cards that match read as one event.

Do the numbers need to be consecutive, or can I skip some?

Neither is required. The tool makes a card for each value you enter and does not fill gaps: '1, 3, 7' yields exactly three cards numbered 1, 3, and 7, and '1, 2, 3, 4, 5' yields five. To number tables 1 to 20 you type all 20 values, or paste the list from a spreadsheet.
