Image Mirror & Flip reverses an image left-to-right or top-to-bottom and can form a symmetric composition from the source and its reflection. Optional seam blending softens the junction where reflected sections meet. Use a plain flip when correcting orientation; use a mirrored composition when repetition is part of the design. The common surprise is that lettering, logos, clocks, gestures, and other directional details are reversed too. Seam blending may disguise a boundary, but it cannot make backward text readable or reconcile perspective that does not meet naturally at the reflection axis.

A horizontal flip reverses the order of the two pixel columns. It preserves their colors and vertical positions, so the blue pixel moves left and the red pixel moves right.
A horizontal flip reverses the order of pixel columns: the far-left column becomes the far-right column while each row stays in place. A vertical flip reverses row order while retaining column positions. Applying both reversals is equivalent to turning the image 180 degrees. A plain flip changes orientation without adding a second copy of the subject.
In a symmetry composition, a reflected copy meets the source at a central join. Seam blending softens the transition around that join so nearby color or texture differences appear less abrupt. It does not force unrelated edges to align, and stronger blending can soften recognizable detail near the axis. Compare the blended and unblended results around the center.

Applying horizontal and vertical flips together produces that rotation. The distinction is visible in upright faces, writing, arrows, and objects whose top and bottom are not interchangeable.
No. It can reduce a sharp boundary when colors and textures already resemble one another near the join. Strong perspective lines, off-center subjects, uneven lighting, or detailed features can still expose the axis. Increasing the blend may replace a distinct line with softness or ghosting, so inspect the center at the intended viewing size.
