Line Chart Generator plots one or more numeric series against the same ordered labels, joining each series across the horizontal axis. You can switch between line and area presentation, choose straight, smooth, or stepped connections, and inspect plotted values with interactive tooltips. The important surprise is that smooth curves change only the visual path between supplied points. They do not add measurements or prove that the values changed smoothly between observations.

Each value occupies the position of the label with the same index. Straight mode connects the two supplied points in each series without visually rounding or stepping the segment.
Enter an ordered set of horizontal-axis labels and a numeric value sequence for every series. The first value in each series belongs to the first label, the second value belongs to the second label, and so on. Keeping every series aligned to the same label sequence prevents a value from appearing under the wrong date, stage, or category.
Straight mode connects adjacent observations directly. Smooth mode rounds the path between those same observations, while stepped mode represents transitions with horizontal and vertical segments. Area mode fills the region under a series to emphasize magnitude. Tooltips expose individual plotted labels and values, which helps when nearby lines or overlapping fills are difficult to read precisely.
No. It changes the shape of the connection drawn between supplied points, but the entered observations remain the only known values. Do not read a precise value from the middle of a smooth segment unless interpolation is appropriate for the subject and you perform that calculation separately.
Usually not without clear labeling and compatible scales. A line for dollars and a line for percentages may appear comparable even though their heights represent different quantities. The generator can show multiple series, but visual proximity alone does not make unlike units mathematically comparable. Separate charts are often clearer.
