Checklist Items
- Give written notice per lease requirements
- Document current condition with photos/video
- Patch nail holes and touch up paint
- Clean all appliances (oven, fridge, dishwasher, microwave)
- Clean bathrooms (tub, toilet, sink, mirrors)
- Clean all floors (vacuum carpet, mop hard floors)
- Clean windows and window tracks
- Clean inside all closets and cabinets
- Remove all personal belongings and trash
- Replace burned-out light bulbs
- Replace HVAC filter
- Fix any damage beyond normal wear
- Return all keys, fobs, remotes, and parking passes
- Cancel or transfer utilities
- Provide forwarding address for deposit return
- Attend move-out inspection with landlord
